WEEKEND RACE RESULTS 02AUG09
TIME TRIALS:
James Norris competed in the Mazda Triathlon on Saturday. This event takes place at the ExceL Exhibition Centre in London’s Docklands and is the largest triathlon in the world with over 13,000 competitors expected to participate in one or other of the events over a two-day period. James was part of a team relay and represented them in the cycling event which was a 25 mile time trial. Out of 400 competitors in the time trial, James placed an amazing 8th place.
This Sunday there were a few Wycombe riders taking part in the WLC 25TT starting at the ski slope near the Handy Cross roundabout. The only result I have on this is that Adam Topham places 5th in 54.14 just behind Ray Hughes, losing 4th place by only one second! It seems that this vital second may have been due to some mechanical issues that Adam was having when changing gears. I believe that our boys scooped the team prize.
Going back to last weekend, Sunday saw Cliff Grant compete in the Veralum 25TT on the F1 course. He placed equal 4th vet on standard with a time of 61.34.
